Tyres, piloted under CIRPASS-2.

The EU tyre labelling regulation (2020/740) already mandates fuel efficiency, wet grip, and rolling noise on every tyre sold in the Union. The ESPR delegated act will extend that into a full Digital Product Passport — recycled rubber content, carbon footprint, tread wear, end-of-life routing. CIRPASS-2 is piloting the schema today, and QRRegistry's tyre workspace is aligned with that pilot.

From label to passport.

The 2020/740 label is already a QR — scanning it today takes you to the EPREL database. The ESPR delegated act will add the sustainability layer: carbon footprint over the tyre's life, share of recycled rubber, microplastic release, and an end-of-life recovery route. QRRegistry bundles the EPREL data and the ESPR data behind one permanent Digital Link code.

tyre.size
Section width / aspect ratio / construction / rim diameter
tyre.eprel_id
EPREL database identifier
tyre.fuel_efficiency
Rolling-resistance class (A–E)
tyre.wet_grip
Wet grip class (A–E)
tyre.rolling_noise
External rolling-noise class + dB(A)
tyre.recycled_rubber
Recycled rubber content (mass %)
tyre.carbon_footprint
kg CO₂-eq over full life-cycle
tyre.eol_route
Recovery route (retreading / granulation / energy)

Ready before the delegated act lands.

The ESPR tyre delegated act's exact fields are still in draft. QRRegistry's tyre workspace maps the CIRPASS-2 pilot schema today, so your suppliers, testing labs, and retreaders are feeding data into the right slots before the regulation becomes binding. When the act lands, the workspace flips from voluntary to mandatory without re-printing a code.
